SyFy [Network ID Concept]

National Geographic Network ID [Concept]

16th Annual Development for Excellence Awards

This project was to track 3D text into these slow panning shots of award nominees for the 16th Annual Development for Excellence Awards as well design several title slides and lower thirds for each of the 30 speakers at the event.

Passion City Church Menus

Based on a predesigned look, I created a menu template for a series of DVD’s to be released by Passion City Church for sale in their resource center. Their graphic designer gave me the final DVD cover designs & color scheme and I developed a versatile template that could be easily modified for all six DVDs in the newly rebranded series. Time of Your Life

This is the titlepack for North Point‘s 5-part series, “Time of Your Life.” After many different concepts, the media team landed on using the clock as a connection between you and the value of the time spent on each activity. The story creates interest between seemingly unrelated scenes by connecting them all together with the ever-counting clock. It brings to light the question, “how do you spend your time?”

TenBefore

My first venture into Cinema 4D, North Point Church asked me to complete a rebrand of their pre-service announcement video called the TenBefore. After several design pitches, the design team and I landed on a look that had a this broadway/ESPN feel. Paired with an updated soundtrack, the final package came together nicely. I designed the intro and all the compositing elements of the brand. The compositing & key work was completed by Andy Waddell.

For my Concepts & Storyboards class at SCAD, we were assigned a network ID project. We were able to choose from either QVC, M6 Music, BBC World News, or Versus. As you can see, I chose the last one in the list.

We were tasked with producing a single concept with two different design directions. One thing I learned in that class is that a concept should never specify the design details. It should explain the idea that you want to communicate, not dictate the execution. The final frames should be able to emphasize the content and quality of the programing of each network. My final concept statement:

eHarmony [Concept]

A complete product from scratch. From the concept, script, audio, to execution. For my Time Based Type class, we were given the choice of several companies and brands and were tasked with creating a 30 second tv spot from scratch.

The concept of this piece was to draw the connection between successful relationships and good food combinations.

The North Point Series EMI DVD Rebrand

Using existing keyart designs, I designed a menu template for a DVD series the North Point Church was producing through the publisher, EMI. I took the DVD packaging design that North Point had already completed and integrated it into an effective layout using the graphic elements of each series. It was built to be a template, and since the production of these three DVDs, the North Point Media team has used my template to create other DVD menus for the same series. These three specific DVDs have reached the end of the production process and are now on sale at several major retailers. Read more…

A title package produced for North Point Church, this piece was produced during my internship with their media department for one of Andy Stanly’s summer message series. The series keyart was created by North Point’s on staff graphic designer, Mike Davis, and was the guide for the look and style.
